The Outsiders

A neurodivergent community.

Built by the same person who built Present, for the same reason. A place for people whose brains work differently — no explaining yourself first, no masking required.

From one outsider to another.

Why I built this — not just Present.

I didn't set out to build something for neurodivergent people. I set out to survive being one.

In 2025, I had a manic episode that cost me nearly everything I had. What came after was worse — months in the deepest depression of my life, the kind where getting through one more day is the whole job.

I have bipolar disorder and ADHD. Knowing that didn't make it easier. It just meant I finally understood why things that seemed simple for everyone else never were for me.

Present started as me trying to hold my own life together with the only tools I had. This community exists because surviving that alone was the hardest part of all of it. I don't want anyone else to have to do that without people who actually get it — not because they read about it, because they've lived it too.

This isn't a support group and it isn't a clinical program. It's just people who know, in one place.

If you're struggling right now, you don't have to wait for community. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) — any time, no waitlist.

This is just getting started.

Real meetups, not networking events. People who get it, in the same room, without the small talk tax. Right now that means occasional in-person gatherings and a growing online space to actually talk to each other — not a platform, not a feed, just people.

More is coming. Events, speakers, bigger gatherings — built as the community grows, not promised in advance.
