Who we are
Present is a daily companion app for reflection, conversational check-ins, reminders, and related support tools. Present is operated by John at trypresent.io. Contact: john@trypresent.io or 630.605.7151.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Present, we may collect:
- Account information — such as your email address and basic profile details you provide when you sign up.
- App content you create — including conversations, reflections, reminders, and other material you enter into Present.
- Usage and device information — such as app activity, device type, and diagnostic data needed to run and improve the service.
- Website information — if you visit trypresent.io, we may collect email addresses from waitlist forms and standard analytics data (for example via Google Analytics and Meta Pixel).
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the Present app and website
- Remember context across conversations and surface reminders
- Respond to support requests
- Improve product quality, reliability, and safety
- Send waitlist or account-related communications you request
We do not sell your personal information.
AI processing
Present uses AI systems to power conversations and related features, including models from DeepSeek and Anthropic. Content you share in the app may be processed by those systems in order to generate responses and organize information for you. We design Present to keep your personal reflections private and not to use them for unrelated advertising.
Sharing
We may share information with service providers who help us operate Present (for example hosting, email delivery, analytics, or AI infrastructure), only as needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of users or others.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide Present and meet legal obligations. To reset or delete your data, email john@trypresent.io with the email address tied to your account. We will confirm once your request has been completed.
Children
Present is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
Important note about Present
Present is a daily companion — not a licensed therapist, doctor, or crisis service. It does not replace professional care. If you are in crisis, contact a crisis line (such as 988 in the U.S.) or your local emergency services.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Present after changes means you accept the updated policy.
